JATOBA : BRAZILIAN CHERRY | In Depth

Jatoba is one of the more popular of the exotic hardwoods used for flooring. The colour can vary widely from red/brown to a rich orange or strong red. The colour of a Jatoba wood floor will change dramatically within the first six to twelve months. However, Jatoba is also one of the strongest woods available and is incredibly resistant to dents and scuffs, compared to other hardwoods. Like Ipe, it can be difficult wood to work with, so experienced carpenter are recommended when fitting.
