DOUGLAS FIR | In Depth

This wood was originally used for telegraph poles as well as mass general use in the construction business. Douglas Fir trees can grow to over 80 metres in height, which is why they are available in extreme lengths for wood flooring (12 metres and longer). However, Douglas fir is a softwood and thus is prone to mark and dent easily.
