Teak is used throughout the world for almost every application, from ship building to making garden furniture. It is an extremely dense wood, with a high oil content, making it almost weather proof. It is known as the king of woods in the far east, with Burmese teak being the most sought after (and therefore the most expensive). It has a rich golden tone, which becomes more beautiful with age.
