What you see is not what you always get with Cherry. The colour of this wood will darken dramatically with age due to oxidation (much like Jatoba), but It will also fade in colour if exposed to sunlight. It has a beautiful grain, is popular with furniture and cabinet makers due to its tight grain and ease of cutting and working with, and makes a dramatic looking floor. This is not a particularly tough wood, and will mark and dent quite easily, but it will make a wonderful looking floor, particularly in elegant homes and apartments.
