Advice on the Cost of a Wood Floor

How much does hardwood flooring cost?

The cost to supply and fit a hardwood floor can be anything from £80 - £400 + VAT per square metre. Most of the floors Türgon sell can be bought and installed for between £80 - £160 + VAT per square metre.

How much does it cost to install a wood floor?

This will all depend on how the floor is being fitted. Is it being floated, glued down, nailed down, or fixed directly to joists? What kind of preparation work is needed, is the floor pre finished or is it being sanded and finished on site? The best advice we can give is to make sure that you have the hardwood floor supplied and installed by the same company. That way, if anything goes wrong, you only have one phone call to make.

How much does engineered flooring cost?

The cost of the engineered floor will depend on its length, width, thickness, wood species and type of finish. We recently supplied and fitted an engineered floor where the boards were 20mm thick, 300-380mm wide and a phenomenal 7600mm long! As you can imagine this type of board is more expensive than board imported from China that measures 15mm x 189mm x 1860mm.
